Warning Signs

When Orlando Homes Need Drywall Help

Orlando's air is wet most of the year. That's hard on drywall. Joint tape bubbles up. Texture cracks. Paper panels swell when they get wet. Storm season brings more trouble. Water sneaks through windows and roofs in West Orange County. Many homes in older areas are now 25 to 35 years old. Nail pops and seam breaks show up a lot in these homes. Gypsum board has layers. It's made to fight fire and block sound.[1] But it still needs dry air to last. A small crack can turn into a big repair. Mold or rot can set in and make it worse. One thing most folks don't know: humidity is the real enemy here, not the walls.

Common Jobs

Water Stain Patching

Storm water or roof leaks leave brown stains and soft spots. We cut out the bad part and match the texture.

Nail Pop Repair

Older Ocoee-area homes often show popped nails. We fix ceilings and walls, making them smooth again.

Crack Repair

Thin cracks from settling or wet air get taped, mudded, and sanded clean.

Hole Patching

Doorknob dents or old anchor holes get patched. You won't be able to tell they were there.

Termite Damage Replacement

Bug treatment often shows weak spots in walls. We tear out the bad parts and put in new ones.

Mold-Resistant Wall Upgrades

Bathrooms and garages need wet-proof board by Florida rules. We use the right material the first time.

Why Us

Why Orlando Trusts Our Drywall Repairs

A small crack left alone can soak up water fast here. We've seen patch jobs turn into full wall swaps. That's what happens when people wait too long. In our experience, waiting even a month can double the cost. Calling early saves money. It stops damage from reaching your studs or insulation.

I am writing to highly recommend Dale for any home improvement or renovation needs.

After he completed a small repair for me with excellent results, I brought him back for a much larger project: a complete remodel of our kitchen, family room, and dining room. This included a full dry texture and new knockdown throughout the great room.

The quality of his work is fantastic. Dale is now my go-to professional for such projects, and I recommend him without reservation.

Look no further. Absolute perfectionist! Texting walls with knockdown is a skill. Dale did an amazing job repairing ceiling damage and blending it exactly like the rest of the ceiling. Nice guy, hard working, dedicated, and cleaned up after himself. Would definitely hire for any repairs/projects.

Called these guys after some tenants left a bunch of holes throughout the property. They did an all out amazing job!! The crew showed up as scheduled, was extremely clean, if you’ve ever been around drywall work you know how messy it can get. They made sure everything was protected properly and left cleaner than it was originally. When they were done you couldn’t tell that anything ever happened. These guys are best in the business!!!

Common Questions

Residential Drywall Questions

Here are answers to what Orlando homeowners ask us most.

  • How much does drywall repair cost in Orlando?

Most small patches cost $150 to $400. Bigger water-damaged spots cost more. We give you a free quote first. So you know the price up front. Cost depends on size, texture, and if there's mold or termite damage.

  • How long does a drywall repair take?

Small patches often finish in one visit. Sometimes it just takes a few hours. Bigger jobs with texture matching may need two visits. This lets the mud dry all the way. Orlando's wet air can add drying time. We plan for that.

  • Should I patch drywall myself or call a pro?

Small nail holes are fine to fix yourself. But big cracks or water stains need a pro. We've seen folks patch over mold by mistake. That just hides the problem. A pro checks for wetness before closing up the wall. Our advice: when in doubt, make the call.

  • How often do Orlando homes need drywall repair?

Homes built in the 1990s and 2000s often need fixes. Nail pops and seam cracks show up every few years. Wet air speeds up wear here. Regular AC care helps slow the damage.

  • How fast should I fix water-damaged drywall?

Fix water damage right away. Don't wait. Trapped water can grow mold in 48 hours. Last month, a customer called us about a stain. They waited weeks to call. By then it had spread into the insulation.

  • What are signs my drywall needs repair?

Watch for brown stains, soft spots, and bubbling paint. Also watch for cracks that keep coming back. Nail pops and sagging ceilings are signs too. If a wall feels damp, call us fast.

  • Do you match texture on fixed walls?

Yes! We match knockdown, orange peel, and smooth finishes. The repair blends right in. Most Orlando homes use knockdown texture. We can copy that look closely. We always test the match first.
