Warning Signs

When Orlando Ceilings Need Repair

Orlando stays humid most of the year. That wet air gets into ceiling drywall through roof leaks. Bad attic airflow causes this too. We see bubbling tape, sagging panels, and small cracks that spread if left alone. Hurricane season brings even more calls. Wind-driven rain sneaks in through roofs and windows. Older homes near Lake Olympia and Forest Lake get hit hard. A small stain today can turn into a big collapse later. Cracked drywall often means there's a moisture problem. You need to fix that first[1]. Waiting almost always costs more than calling early.

Common Issues

Water Stains

Brown rings on your ceiling mean water got in. We find the source and fix the drywall underneath.

Sagging Panels

A drooping ceiling often means wet, weak drywall. This needs a patch or full swap.

Cracked Seams

Joint tape fails when humidity swings a lot. We re-tape and refinish so it won't crack again.

Nail Pops

Older homes near Cross Creek and Prairie Lake Reserve often show nail heads poking through the texture.

Storm Damage

Hurricane season leaks can soak attic insulation. This can ruin the ceiling below in a day or two.

Termite Exposure

Pest treatment sometimes finds weak drywall above. We fix it once the pest work is done.

We look at the damage and check the attic for moisture or roof issues. We explain what caused it in plain words.

2

Repair

We cut out damaged drywall, swap in new pieces, and tape and mud the seams. We let it dry before moving on.

3

Texture and Finish

We match your ceiling's texture and blend the fix in. Once it's dry, your ceiling looks like new.

Fair Pricing

Drywall Ceiling Repair Cost in Orlando

Price depends on the size of the damage, how high the ceiling is, and if texture matching is needed. A small water stain costs less than a full sagging spot that needs new drywall and insulation. Orlando's humid air means we check for hidden moisture first. We do this before we quote the job. A hidden leak can change the scope of the work[1]. We give you a free estimate before we start, and we never add surprise charges once work begins.

✓ You approve the price before we begin.
✓ No surprise fees once the job starts.

I am writing to highly recommend Dale for any home improvement or renovation needs.

After he completed a small repair for me with excellent results, I brought him back for a much larger project: a complete remodel of our kitchen, family room, and dining room. This included a full dry texture and new knockdown throughout the great room.

The quality of his work is fantastic. Dale is now my go-to professional for such projects, and I recommend him without reservation.

Look no further. Absolute perfectionist! Texting walls with knockdown is a skill. Dale did an amazing job repairing ceiling damage and blending it exactly like the rest of the ceiling. Nice guy, hard working, dedicated, and cleaned up after himself. Would definitely hire for any repairs/projects.

Called these guys after some tenants left a bunch of holes throughout the property. They did an all out amazing job!! The crew showed up as scheduled, was extremely clean, if you’ve ever been around drywall work you know how messy it can get. They made sure everything was protected properly and left cleaner than it was originally. When they were done you couldn’t tell that anything ever happened. These guys are best in the business!!!

Your Questions

Drywall Ceiling Repair Questions

Here are answers to what Orlando homeowners ask us most.

  • How much does ceiling drywall repair cost?

Most repairs cost between $250 and $1,200. It depends on size and texture work. Small cracks cost less than full panel swaps. We give a free estimate first, so you know the price.

  • How long does a ceiling repair take?

Most jobs finish in one day. Bigger repairs with texture matching may need a second visit, so the mud can dry fully. We'll tell you the timeline before we start.

  • Can I patch a ceiling crack myself?

Small hairline cracks can sometimes get patched with mesh tape and mud. But ceiling work is tougher than wall work since gravity fights you the whole time. Sagging or wet spots need a pro to check for hidden moisture first.

  • How often do Orlando ceilings need this fix?

Homes built in the 1990s and 2000s are common in Ocoee and West Orange County. These homes often show seam failures around 25 to 35 years old. Nail pops show up around then too. Humidity makes it happen faster than in drier places.

  • Is a sagging ceiling an emergency?

Yes, a sagging ceiling means the drywall is wet or weak. It can fall. Call us right away instead of waiting. We'll check it the same week in most cases.

  • What are the early signs of ceiling damage?

Watch for brown stains, bubbling paint, or a soft spot when you press gently. Cracks that grow over a few weeks are also a sign. Any of these mean it's time to call us.

  • Do you match popcorn or knockdown texture?

Yes, we match both popcorn and knockdown texture so the repair blends right in. We also handle popcorn ceiling removal if you'd rather update the whole ceiling instead of patching it.
