Warning Signs

When You Need a New Ceiling in Orlando

Orlando air stays wet most of the year. That wetness makes ceiling drywall sag, bubble, or pull loose. We also see lots of storm damage. Roof leaks soak ceiling panels until they need a full swap, not just a patch. Older homes near Cross Creek and Prairie Lake Reserve often have drywall over 25 years old. Seams start to fail right about then. Don't wait on a sagging ceiling. The panel can drop fast, especially once water gets inside. Good installing matters more on ceilings than walls. Gravity fights against a bad job every single day.[1]

Common Jobs

Water Damaged Ceilings

Roof leaks and storms soak drywall until it sags or crumbles. We take out the damaged part and put in fresh, sealed panels.

Popcorn Ceiling Swap

Old bumpy ceilings often hide cracked or weak drywall underneath. We swap it for a smooth, new look.

Sagging or Popped Panels

Years of wet air make screws loosen and panels bow. We re-hang the ceiling with the right screws and spacing.

New Room Additions

New builds and room additions need fresh ceiling drywall. We tape and finish it to match the rest of the home.

Bathroom and Garage Ceilings

Florida code says wet areas need wet-proof drywall. We put in the right panel so it passes inspection.

High End Finish Ceilings

Homes near Forest Lake and Lake Olympia often want a super smooth finish for shiny paint. We handle that level of detail.

How Drywall Ceiling Installation Works

We keep things simple. You'll know what's happening at every step.

1

Check and Quote

We check the ceiling for water damage, weak spots, and the real cause. You get a written quote right there.

2

Take Down and Frame Check

We pull down bad panels and check the joists underneath. Any weak framing gets fixed before new drywall goes up.

3

Hang, Tape, and Finish

We hang new panels, tape the seams, and match your texture. Last, we walk through so you can see the finished job.

I am writing to highly recommend Dale for any home improvement or renovation needs.

After he completed a small repair for me with excellent results, I brought him back for a much larger project: a complete remodel of our kitchen, family room, and dining room. This included a full dry texture and new knockdown throughout the great room.

The quality of his work is fantastic. Dale is now my go-to professional for such projects, and I recommend him without reservation.

Look no further. Absolute perfectionist! Texting walls with knockdown is a skill. Dale did an amazing job repairing ceiling damage and blending it exactly like the rest of the ceiling. Nice guy, hard working, dedicated, and cleaned up after himself. Would definitely hire for any repairs/projects.

Called these guys after some tenants left a bunch of holes throughout the property. They did an all out amazing job!! The crew showed up as scheduled, was extremely clean, if you’ve ever been around drywall work you know how messy it can get. They made sure everything was protected properly and left cleaner than it was originally. When they were done you couldn’t tell that anything ever happened. These guys are best in the business!!!

Common Questions

Drywall Ceiling Installation Questions

Here are the questions Orlando homeowners ask us most.

  • How much does ceiling drywall cost?

Most Orlando ceiling jobs cost between $450 and $2,200. It depends on size and damage. Bathrooms and garages cost more since they need wet-proof board. We give a free estimate so you know the price upfront.

  • How long does a new ceiling take?

Most jobs finish in one to two days. Bigger rooms or a super smooth finish can take a bit longer. We'll give you a timeline at the quote.

  • Can I put up ceiling drywall myself?

Ceiling drywall is harder than wall drywall. Gravity works against you. A panel that's not fastened right can sag or fall later. Call us instead of risking a ceiling falling down.

  • How often do Orlando ceilings need swapping?

Homes built in the 1990s and 2000s are now 25 to 35 years old. Many, like those in Cross Creek, have failing seams. Add in wet air and storm damage, and swaps happen more here than in drier places.

  • Is a sagging ceiling a big deal?

Yes, a sagging ceiling can drop without warning. If you notice bulges or water stains, call us now. It's safer to get it checked right away.

  • What signs mean I need a new ceiling?

Look for sagging spots, brown water stains, or soft drywall you can push in. Lots of popped nails across the ceiling also point to a bigger problem. A patch won't fix those for good.

  • Do you use wet-proof drywall on ceilings?

Yes, we use wet-proof or Type X drywall in bathrooms, garages, and other wet spots. Florida code says we must. Orange County inspectors check for it too. We always use the right panel for the room.
